Tea is so versatile, with more than 3,000 varieties in the world, there is definitely something out there to suit just about any palate. The question is, how do you know which one you like? Background

Free Your Tea is a tea subscription service that provides unique teas to your preferences. Buy your personalized tea today, or send a gift that will make them remember you with each sip.

Knud Berthelsen, the creator of Free Your Tea, wanted to establish a place for individuals to discover and experience high-quality teas from all over the world, which he does through individualized tea subscriptions.

Personalization is based on your tea tastes as well as how you rank teas in the sampler and subsequent teas, resulting in a genuinely tailored tea experience. Giving a tea subscription is simple, and the receiver may customize their shipments as well.

Free Your Tea's website is simple to use and addresses the majority of frequently asked questions. Moreover, you are encouraged to ask more questions; when I did, I received a timely response.

At Free Your Tea, you can choose from regular, caffeine-free, and iced teas. There are monthly and quarterly subscription deliveries available. Depending on your subscription plan, the prices can average anywhere from $16 to $30 each month. If you feel like you will be sipping tea for a long time, then the yearly subscription will be more worth it in the end, you will only be charged quarterly compared to buying month to month. Delivery to US locations is free, but international locations incur a $5-$10 shipping cost.

The company values are:

  • They believe no two tea leaves are the same
  • They embrace the magic brewed between people over a pot of tea
  • They understand that the history of tea is steeped in tradition
  • They think outside the bag
  • They do business with the same bold character as our favorite teas

Summary

This is a lighter green tea that explodes with jasmine flavor from start to finish. The cup of tea that you brew is not just fragrant, but also unexpectedly sweet. The ingredients inside this specific tea includes: tea scented with white jasmine blossoms. Whatever the weather, the sweet green tea combined with fragrant jasmine blooms takes you to a refreshing summer evening. This jasmine green tea is perfect with a meal or on its own, or for all-day sipping (if you aren’t too sensitive to caffeine).

This might be one of my favorite teas that I have tried yet. I am a very simple guy with simple taste buds and this seriously hit the spot. The flavors of the white jasmine blossoms are definitely present but do not overpower the green tea flavor at all, rather they compliment each other very well.

Pros

  • In the first box, there are six samples to test
  • Your ratings and preferences are used to choose future teas
  • Teas with loose leaves that are delicious
  • The first box contains disposable filter bags

  • Great gift

Cons

  • In following boxes, you'll receive a month's worth of only one tea (plus one random sample)
  • You'll pay a little more as compared to other subscription services
  • If there is one tea flavor that you really enjoyed, you cannot purchase it in bulk
  • The packaging can be improved

Buying the Product

Free Your Tea stands by the idea of personalizing your tea. They adapt tea shipments to your tastes using their collection of tea preferences and ratings, which suggests what tea people with similar preferences and ratings to yours are most likely to appreciate. New members are invited to register their preferences for tea types, caffeine levels, and personalizing choices prior to receiving their first shipment.

In just 3 simple steps, you can get your Personalized Tea Subscription delivered to your front door.

1. Get Your Tea!

Buy your Personalized Tea Subscription, submit your preferences, and get your tea!

2. Rate Your Tea!

Free Your Tea uses tea ratings and preferences to personalize teas tailored to your taste.

3. Free Your Tea!

Discover and enjoy new and old favorite teas and tea types from around the world!

Unless you're just looking to try out all the different teas offered, you are encouraged to provide more detailed preferences for different flavors, tea types, and ingredients. When your initial teas arrive, you are asked to rate each tea on a scale of 1 to 5 stars and indicate whether or not you would want to order the tea again in the future. They tailor your tea to your tea tastes and ratings.

Each shipment contains 4-6 2 oz. bags of personalized tea bimonthly, or quarterly, depending on your subscription. Prices can range from $16 to $30 each month, depending on your membership package. When opposed to paying month to month, it is considerably cheaper to sign up for a year and simply be charged quarterly.

  • $60 for two months gets you four teas that make 100 cups ($15 each tea).
  • $72 for three months gets you six teas that make 150 cups ($12 each tea).
  • $120 for six months gets you 12 teas that make 300 cups ($10 each tea).
  • $192 a year gets you 24 teas that will brew 600 cups ($8 per tea).

Shipping within the United States is always free, and each box comes with 50-100 drawstring bags. If you’re outside the US, shipping can cost around $5-$10 depending on where you are.

Results

Sometimes, all of those extravagant flavors might be a bit much at times. I catch myself craving a simple cup of jasmine green tea every now and then. This tea was gentle and floral, with a clear rich yellow liquor.

All of their teas taste great both as plain cups of hot tea and cold brewed. Some are even better with additions like milk and sugar. Personally, I brewed this tea plain with no additives to get the full flavor effects.

Your preferences may differ, but generally they recommend one sachet per cup of hot tea, steeping 4-5 minutes. If you want to cold brew, they recommend 1 sachet per cup, and 10-12 hours in the refrigerator.

Benefits of Tea

Jasmine tea is a very healthful tea that is normally made from green or black tea leaves. It's high in antioxidants and has been connected to a number of outstanding health benefits. Drinking jasmine tea may reduce your chances of heart disease, mental decline, and some cancers. It may also aid in weight loss, oral health, and cognitive function.

Above all, jasmine tea is tasty and simple to incorporate into your diet. To gain the tea's outstanding health advantages, try including it into your diet. Plus, being a naturally caffeinated tea, it will improve your health and energy levels.

1. Antioxidant-Rich

Jasmine tea contains polyphenols, which serve as antioxidants in the body. It also includes the potent polyphenol EGCG, which has been linked to a variety of health advantages, including a lower risk of heart disease.

2. May aid weight loss

Jasmine tea produced from green tea may help you lose weight by increasing your metabolism.

3. Could protect your heart

Polyphenols in jasmine tea may help prevent heart disease by reducing LDL (bad) cholesterol from oxidizing and potentially blocking your arteries.

4. Promotes good oral health

Polyphenols in jasmine tea may aid in the neutralization of plaque-forming bacteria. It may also help with bad breath.

5. Could boost brain function

Caffeine and L-theanine in jasmine tea may help you stay alert and observant. It may also help with short-term memory.

6. Delicious and easy to add to your diet

Bottom Line

Overall, this tea is a softly scented green tea that concentrates on the green tea rather than anything else. That being said, the gentle jasmine smell and fresh, sweet floral tones of this tea transport you to a meadow full with beautiful spring blossoms. This tea can be enjoyed either neat or with a modest amount of raw cane sugar. I would highly recommend it to those who enjoy “basic” teas.

If you're a fan of exploring new teas but not a fan of traveling the world to find them, tea subscription boxes are most definitely worth it. Everything you need to brew a comforting mug of tea is shipped right to your door. You won't even have to change out of your fuzzy slippers. Free Your Tea is one of those companies that actually listens to their customers and absolutely nailed my flavor profile. Being an avid tea drinker, I know that there are a ton of different varieties out there.
